Biography

Suvrajeet Sen serves as a Professor in the Daniel J. Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California. He has held significant roles such as program director for the National Science Foundation (NSF), where he was responsible for Operations Research and Service Enterprise Engineering programs and led cyber infrastructure planning activities within the Engineering Directorate. Concurrently, he has been a professor in Systems Industrial Engineering at the University of Arizona. Professor Sen has contributed to various editorial roles, including serving on the editorial board of several journals, and has held leadership positions in the INFORMS Telecommunications Section and founded the INFORMS Optimization Section. He is recognized as a Fellow of INFORMS. His research focuses on modeling and optimization technologies, particularly applied to infrastructure systems, electric power markets, telecommunications networks, and transportation. He has received several accolades, including the INFORMS Fellow status in 2014 and has been invited to speak at numerous prestigious conferences around the globe.
