Biography

Suzanne McLaughlin is a board-certified pediatrician internist and an Associate Professor at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She serves as the Program Director for the Medicine-Pediatrics residency and practices at the Medicine Pediatrics Primary Care Center, where she also holds the position of Medical Director. Her research interests focus on promoting wellness and care for chronic illnesses in primary care settings, as well as facilitating healthcare transitions and medical education. She is a recognized teaching scholar, having received prestigious awards such as the Beckwith Teaching Award from the Department of Medicine and the ACGME Parker Palmer Courage to Teach Award. McLaughlin completed her residency at Brown University and was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at Johns Hopkins University. Her educational background includes a Master of Science in Maternal and Child Health from Harvard School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts, both of which have equipped her to address chronic care needs through various community and nonprofit initiatives. Currently, she is the Co-Chair of the Rhode Island Department of Health Primary Care Physicians Advisory Committee.
