Biography

Dr. Ramsey is a pediatric rheumatologist and head of the Pediatric Rheumatology Division at IWK Health Centre. She has been an Associate Professor in Pediatrics with a cross-appointment in Medicine (Rheumatology) at Dalhousie University. Her research interests encompass juvenile idiopathic arthritis and various pediatric rheumatic diseases including Kawasaki disease, vasculitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and juvenile dermatomyositis. Dr. Ramsey actively participates in training committees for Rheumatology post-graduate education. She has contributed significantly to the understanding and management of pediatric rheumatic conditions through her various publications and clinical work in the field. Dr. Ramsey graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of New Brunswick and obtained her MD from the University of Ottawa. She completed her training in Pediatrics at Dalhousie University and furthered her specialization in Rheumatology at the University of British Columbia. Her commitment to advancing the field includes active involvement in the Canadian Medical Association, the Canadian Rheumatology Association, and the Childhood Arthritis Rheumatology Research Alliance.
