Dr. Suzanne Wright

Biography

Suzanne Wright is an Emeritus Associate Teaching Professor at the Smeal College of Business, Pennsylvania State University, with over ten years of experience in financial managerial accounting and financial reporting. She has expertise in fixed asset accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost systems. Professor Wright has taught at institutions such as North Carolina Wesleyan College and Coastal Carolina Community College, and has been a significant contributor to the American Accounting Association as a member of the Education Committee since 2004. She has authored educational materials and served as a CPA Exam reviewer and mentor for AICPA instructors. She has received recognition for her excellence in accounting education, including the Lester L. Shonto Award in 2000. Professor Wright's teaching philosophy incorporates practical accounting scenarios and theoretical frameworks to enhance students' understanding of financial accounting principles.
