Biography

Suzie Dunn is an Assistant Professor of Law at Dalhousie University and an associate member at the University of Ottawa's Centre for Law, Technology and Society. Currently a Ph.D. candidate in Law, Suzie's research focuses on the intersections of gender, equality, and technology law, particularly addressing issues regarding non-consensual distribution of intimate images, deepfakes, and impersonation in digital spaces. She is involved in a SSHRC-funded research project studying young people's experiences with sexual violence online. Suzie is also a Senior Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation and an active member of the Women’s Legal Education Action Fund's committee on technology-facilitated violence, highlighting her commitment to addressing systemic issues of gender-based violence in technology.
