Biography

Svante Gunnarsson received his M.Sc. degree in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering in 1983, followed by a Ph.D. in Automatic Control in 1988, both from Linköping University. He is currently a Professor in the Division of Automatic Control at Linköping University. His educational involvement includes serving as an examiner and lecturer for several courses, such as TSRT22 in Automatic Control for Industrial Engineering Management and TSIU04 and TSIU06 in Industrial Control Systems for the Engineering Electronics and Mechanical Engineering programs, respectively. He is a representative in the international network of Linköping University, notably contributing to The CDIO Initiative, which focuses on engineering education development. His research interests encompass modeling, identification, control, and diagnosis of industrial robots. Additionally, he is the Center Director of the Competence Center SEDDIT, supported by Vinnova, and a member of the board of the Faculty of Science and Engineering (Institute of Technology) at Linköping University, as well as the Zenith research organization associated with the university.
