Biography

Sven Karlsson is an expert in the evaluation and design of parallel computers. His main research themes include computer architecture and construction, compiler techniques, operating systems, and computer networks. He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He graduated as a civil engineer from Lund University, Sweden in 1997, and subsequently earned his PhD in Teleinformatics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden in 2004. Before joining DTU in 2007, he was employed as a postdoctoral researcher at FORTH-ICS in Crete, Greece. At DTU, he is responsible for teaching the course 'Parallel and Real-Time Systems' and supervises thesis students. Karlsson has authored and co-authored over 15 scientific articles.
