Svetlana Yanushkevich directs the Biometric Technologies Laboratory at the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary. Her team is engaged in the development of novel decision support risk assessment strategies based on machine reasoning, with applications in biometric-enabled access control, healthcare monitoring systems for gait abnormalities detection, action/activity recognition, and face attribute analysis.
