Syafiq Asnawi is a Senior Lecturer at Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University. Currently, he directs the Proteomics Metabolomics Platform at the same institution and has received several major research grants, including from the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and the Wellcome Trust in the UK. His research interests include Venomics, anti-venomics, anti-cancer therapeutics, and metabolomics, with notable involvement in projects aimed at developing universal antivenoms and investigating metabolomic profiles in cancer. He also contributes to teaching in Biochemistry and Biomedical Science courses and supervises projects related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
