Biography

Sye-Loong Keoh is an Associate Professor at the University of Glasgow's Singapore campus, where he is also the Director of Research Programmes. He holds a Ph.D. in Computing and has worked previously as a Senior Scientist at Philips Research in Eindhoven, Netherlands. His areas of expertise concentrate on cyber security in the Internet of Things (IoT), lightweight security systems for cyber-physical systems, and policy-based security management for pervasive distributed systems. At UofG Singapore, he leads research on cyber-security designed to enhance lightweight authentication protocols and key management schemes essential for IoT and building management. He is actively involved in researching techniques for ensuring end-to-end data provenance and communication security in IoT environments. In collaboration with Philips, he has contributed to the standardization of the Marlin Digital Rights Management technology and lightweight security protocols for IoT-enabled lighting systems. His research interests include Security Protocol Design, Authentication, Access Control Models, Wireless Sensor Networks, Pervasive Computing, 5G Communication Security, and Trusted AI.
