Sylvain Nichols obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Montreal in 2001 and completed an internship at the CHUV of the University of Montreal in bovine medicine and surgery in 2002. He practiced privately at the veterinary clinic in Frampton until 2004 and then completed a residency in farm animal surgery at Ohio State University (2004-2006) and Kansas State University (2006-2007). He completed his Master’s degree on teat problems at Ohio State University in 2007. In 2008, Nichols became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS). Since 2007, he has been a professor in farm animal surgery at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Montreal.
