Biography

Sylvain Wenger holds a doctorate in Economic and Social Sciences with a focus on Economic History, having completed his thesis at the University of Geneva in 2016 titled 'Innovation, Industrialization and Knowledge Institutions: A Genevan Perspective (1750-1850)' as part of the research project 'Creating Small, Industrializing European Economies'. He is a partner member of the Alexandre Koyré Center at EHESS (Paris) and leads scientific and cultural projects at the Société des Arts de Genève. His research interests include Science and Technology Studies, Knowledge, Technology, Innovation, Institutions, Networks, and Economic Development. He has co-edited several books and articles, focusing on the dynamics of arts and industry in Geneva.
