Sylvie Lorente is an adjunct professor in the Thomas Lord Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University. Her research interests include vascularized materials, constructal theory, porous media, fluid mechanics, and heat mass transfer. With a Ph.D. from INSA Toulouse, France, she has contributed significantly to understanding the flow structures and thermal properties of various materials.
