Dr. Syrine Sassi

Biography

Syrine Sassi is an Associate Professor at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, specializing in Finance. She earned her PhD in Finance from the University of Paris Est Créteil, Val de Marne in 2017. Prior to her appointment at the University of Ottawa, she was an Associate Professor at Paris School of Business and held a faculty position at South Champagne Business School. Her research primarily explores complex issues in corporate financial management and governance, focusing on the impact of regulatory environments and product market competition on financial decisions and environmental sustainability. Professor Sassi's work has been recognized at numerous international conferences and published in esteemed journals, including the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Research, and European Financial Management. She has organized significant international conferences and workshops, including the 13th International Conference on Financial Engineering and the 2024 International Conference on Sustainable Development & Business Ethics. Beyond research, she has extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels, covering a variety of topics, including Corporate Finance and Financial Analysis.
