Biography

Professor Ta Yeong Wu received his BEng (Hons), MEng, and PhD degrees from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2001, 2003, and 2009, respectively. Currently, he is a Full Professor and Associate Head of the School (Graduate Research) at the School of Engineering, Monash University Malaysia. He is also a registered Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and has been awarded Chartered Chemical Engineer status through his election to Chartered Membership of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). His research focuses on sustainable solid waste management, biorefinery, biofuel production, and wastewater treatment. He teaches courses in Chemistry, Chemical Thermodynamics, and Waste Management, particularly emphasizing biomass transformation.
