Dr. Tadj Oreszczyn

Biography

Tadj Oreszczyn is a Professor in the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources at University College London (UCL). He is the founding Director of the UCL Energy Institute, established in 2009, and has held various academic positions, including Vice Dean for Research. His research focuses on energy demand solutions and the interface between health and climate change, where he co-leads on mitigation strategies as part of the Lancet Countdown initiative. Oreszczyn has also played a significant role as Principal Investigator at the Smart Energy Research Lab and leads efforts related to energy demand observatories. His previous roles include senior lecturers and consultancy in energy efficiency and environmental design across various institutions. He holds a PhD from the Open University and continues to contribute actively to the fields of energy efficiency and climate change.
