Tae-Ju Oh received a D.D.S. from Seoul National University in Korea in 1989 and a Certificate M.S. in Periodontics from the University of Michigan in 2001. He has been a full-time faculty member at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry since 2001. His specialties include dental implants-related surgeries, such as implant surgery and advanced bone grafting procedures, as well as clinical periodontics. Tae-Ju Oh is heavily involved in clinical research projects related to dental implants and periodontics, having published more than 50 papers and book chapters in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. He is a Diplomate Examiner for the American Board of Periodontology and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Additionally, he serves on the Peer Review Panel for the Journal of Periodontology and is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Periodontal & Implant Science. Oh has been a reviewer for numerous scientific journals, including the Journal of Dental Research and the Clinical Oral Implants Research. He is the recipient of the Bud & Linda Tarrson Award in 2007 from the American Board of Periodontology Foundation and the Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring Periodontics Educator Award in 2007 from the American Academy of Periodontology. Tae-Ju Oh was the President of the Midwest Society of Periodontology from 2017-2018.
