Biography

Tahereh Abad is a staff scientist at Chalmers University of Technology in the Applied Quantum Physics Laboratory within the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience-MC2. Her research focuses on theoretical projects related to Sweden's quantum computer initiative at the Wallenberg Center for Quantum Technology. Abad specializes in modeling optimal control for qubit-based superconducting quantum computers and studying continuous-variable quantum information within superconducting circuits. She received her PhD in 2019 from Sharif University of Technology in Iran, where she conducted research under the supervision of Vahid Karimipour. During her doctoral studies, she also undertook a one-year exchange program at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Aarhus University, where she was supervised by Klaus Mølmer. Her work primarily revolves around macroscopic quantum superposition, entanglement, and quantum correlations.
