Dr. Tahmida Sharmin

Biography

Tahmida Sharmin is an academic associated with Macquarie University, where she contributes as an Academic Casual. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree. Her research primarily focuses on investigating plasma protein biomarkers in preclinical Alzheimer's disease by utilizing cohorts with autosomal dominant Alzheimer's disease. Throughout her academic journey, Tahmida has made significant contributions in the field of biomedical science and pharmacy, having completed both a Master of Research and a Master of Pharmacy at the University of Rajshahi in Bangladesh. She possesses extensive knowledge in the characterization of novel Streptomycetes derived from Bangladeshi soil and has published several research outputs since 2013, gaining recognition in her field. Tahmida's dedication to research is further propelled by her awards and scholarship recognitions, including the Gold Medal for academic excellence and scholarships aimed at fostering international research training.
