Biography

Takashi Hayashi completed his PhD at the University of Rochester in 2004 and previously held a position at the University of Texas at Austin before joining the University of Glasgow. His research interests focus on decision-making under uncertainty over time, including both individual and collective decision-making processes. He is particularly interested in axiomatically characterizing how individuals and groups make decisions both consistently and inconsistently. Takashi is a member of the Microeconomics Cluster research group at the University of Glasgow, where he explores areas of microeconomic theory, decision theory, social choice, and welfare economics. With a strong background in these areas, he contributes significantly to the understanding of economic behaviors and decision-making frameworks.
