Professor Dr. Talal Alkhadher

Biography

Talal Alkhadher is a Visiting Researcher at the School of Social and Political Science, University of Edinburgh. He has contributed significantly to the field of Politics and International Relations. He holds a PhD in Politics & International Relations from the University of Edinburgh, where his thesis focused on the De-moderation Hypothesis and the democratization efforts of Egyptian secularists. His academic background also includes an MA in Social & Political Thought from the University of Sussex and a BA in Marketing from Kuwait University. Alkhadher currently teaches at Kuwait International Law School (Kilaw), delivering courses on Political Systems, Constitutional Law, and Social Theories Law. His research interests encompass Middle East Politics, Moderation Theory, sociology ideas, Arab political thought, secularism, Islamism, Arab leftists, and Arab liberalism. He is also actively publishing, with upcoming works on the Political Left in Egypt and Revolutionary Socialists' Democratic Transition.
