Biography

Taneisha Grant, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist who graduated cum laude from The City College of the City University of New York with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, graduating with a distinction in medical research. Dr. Grant completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. She also completed a sub-fellowship in motility disorders of the gastrointestinal tract at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor during her final year of fellowship. Dr. Grant treats a variety of general gastrointestinal conditions including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), eosinophilic esophagitis, peptic ulcer disease, celiac disease, and exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. She has special interests in motility disorders such as achalasia, gastroparesis, irritable bowel syndrome, and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Additionally, Dr. Grant earned a Nutrition Healthy Living Certificate from Cornell University. She performs various endoscopic procedures and is a strong advocate for health equity, working with medical community organizations to decrease disparities in healthcare and improve patient outcomes.
