Dr. Tania De St Croix

Biography

Tania de St Croix is a Senior Lecturer at King's College London, focusing on Sociology, Youth, and Childhood. She specializes in critical, radical, and transformative youth work, particularly within policy and practice contexts that impact young people's and children's services. Tania's teaching encompasses education policy, informal community education, and child and youth studies, aiming to foster social change. Her research investigates the experiences and evaluations of youth work under challenging policy conditions, and she is committed to co-creating and sharing knowledge with young people, practitioners, and decision-makers. Tania has authored several publications, including 'Grassroots Youth Work: Policy, Passion, Resistance Practice,' and participates actively in workshops and collaborative dialogues to address inequalities in education and youth services. As Programme Director for the MA in Education, Policy, and Society, she also supervises doctoral students in related fields of youth work and community education.
