Biography

Tania Di Renna currently serves as the Medical Director at the Toronto Academic Pain Medicine Institute (TAPMI), a comprehensive interdisciplinary academic pain program in Toronto. Prior to her appointment in Toronto, she was the Medical Director of Pain at the Ottawa Hospital and an undergraduate coordinator for the Pain Curriculum at the University of Ottawa until 2013. During her time in Ottawa, she established multidisciplinary pain clinics across various medical and surgical specialties and contributed significantly to Ontario’s Multidisciplinary Female Pelvic Pain Clinic as a minimally invasive surgeon. She is actively involved in the Hub and Spoke Model for Chronic Pain Delivery in Ottawa and has developed a keen interest in crisis team organization, innovating new approaches to intraoperative cardiac arrest management. Over the years, she has successfully secured grants and publications to support her work, including contributions to the Chronic Pain Working Group at William Osler Health System aimed at preventing chronic pain conditions in surgical patients.
