Dr. Tanjin Amin

Biography

Tanjin Amin is a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He completed his Ph.D. at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2022, where he also earned his M.Eng. in 2018. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, obtained in 2013. His research primarily focuses on fault diagnosis, process monitoring, process security, safety risk engineering, and process system engineering. Amin is actively involved in the academic community and has been recognized for his achievements with multiple awards including the Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship for his doctoral studies awarded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, the Dean’s Excellence Award from Memorial University, and the Fellow Graduate Studies award from the same institution. He also received a Merit Scholarship during his undergraduate studies at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
