Biography

Tanya Hathaway, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist affiliated with the UW Medical Center–Roosevelt Dermatology Center and Fred Hutch Cancer Center. She serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Washington. Dr. Hathaway completed her medical degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2002, followed by a residency in dermatology at Yale University. Her postgraduate training includes an NIH Sponsored Research Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology Dermatology, focusing on the characterization of regulatory T-cells in cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and graft-versus-host disease. Throughout her career, Dr. Hathaway has specialized in medical dermatology, especially in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer and inflammatory skin conditions. She has previously volunteered as a faculty member for the UW School of Medicine and the Swedish Family Practice Residency program. Furthermore, she is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Dermatology and the Washington State Dermatology Association, where she has contributed as a board member and President. Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Hathaway enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and cooking.
