Biography

Taposh Roy is a Lecturer at the University of Southampton, specializing in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), sustainability, and cross-sectoral partnerships with a focus on developing countries. He has published work in notable journals such as the Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly and the Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal. His PhD thesis, titled 'CSR Communication MNOs Context Bangladesh Impact Employees,' laid the groundwork for his research interests and current explorations of the challenges in implementing Western-centric sustainability concepts in the Bangladesh garment sector. Since joining Southampton Business School in 2016, he has been actively engaged in teaching various undergraduate and postgraduate modules, including Responsible Leadership and Business Ethics. In addition to his academic role, Taposh serves as the Postgraduate Programme Director and has been involved in enhancing academic collaborations between NGOs and businesses. His research is supported through funding from SBS small grants and he also plays a role as an external examiner at other institutions.
