Biography

Tara McCarty is a licensed speech-language pathologist and an Assistant Professor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program at Penn State Harrisburg. She has a strong clinical background, having worked in both Missouri and Pennsylvania primarily in school-based settings. Her research is focused on developing communication solutions for individuals with multiple disabilities who have concomitant brain-based visual impairments, particularly cerebral/cortical visual impairment (CVI).
