Biography

Tara K. Menon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Harvard University. She is currently accepting graduate student advisees and actively engages in research and teaching related to narrative theory and nineteenth-century British literature. Menon's scholarly interests include realism, contemporary fiction, and climate fiction. Her selected works include articles on narrative structures in British novels and she has received the James Phelan Prize for her published work. She is also in the process of completing her first novel, Water, which is forthcoming from Summit UK Riverhead Rights. Menon frequently contributes essays and reviews to respected publications such as the New York Book Review and Los Angeles Review of Books. She enjoys mentoring international students and is committed to fostering supportive academic conversations with both undergraduate and graduate students.
