Biography

Taraneh Maghsoodi-Zahedi is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, specializing in Periodontics. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2006 and her Masters in Biomedical Science (MS) in 2012 from the University of Texas Health Science Center. Additionally, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2000 and a BA in English Translation from Azad University in 1992. Maghsoodi-Zahedi has served as the Chief Oral Maxillofacial Radiologist at 360 Imaging in Atlanta and is a member of the American Association of Maxillofacial Radiology. Her research interests include dental imaging and the applications of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) in dentistry. She has published articles focusing on the incidental radiographic findings in sinus augmentation and the use of CBCT in examining the temporomandibular joint.
