Biography

Taras Reshetukha obtained his undergraduate medical degree from Ternopil State Medical University in Ukraine. He completed his residency training in Psychiatry at Queen's University, where he joined the General Adult Division of the Queen's Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Reshetukha has a special clinical interest in Addiction and Emergency Psychiatry, providing concurrent disorder clinical services in the outpatient department of Hotel Dieu Hospital under the AMHS-KFLA community agency. He offers psychiatric coverage for the Emergency departments of Kingston General and Hotel Dieu Hospitals. His main research interests include Suicide and Suicide Risk Assessment, and he is a co-investigator on a research project that examines involuntary admissions. Furthermore, Dr. Reshetukha is part of a team that focuses on the design, implementation, and evaluation of an online psychotherapy clinic. He teaches both Emergency Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry at Queen's Undergraduate Medical School and is actively involved in postgraduate teaching.
