Biography

Dr. M. Tariq Iqbal is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, in 1986, followed by an M.Sc. in Nuclear Engineering from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, in 1988. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College London in 1994. His professional experience includes working from 1988 to 1991 at the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences in Islamabad and serving as an Associate Professor at Riphah International University from 1999 to 2000. Since 2001, he has been teaching various electrical engineering courses such as electrical engineering design, process control instrumentation, and renewable energy systems. His research focuses on modeling and control of hybrid renewable energy systems, and he has a strong interest in consumer electronics instrumentation.
