Biography

Tarun Ramadorai is a Professor of Financial Economics at Imperial College London, with a broad range of research interests, spanning household finance, financial economics, behavioral economics, real estate, and international finance. He has published on various topics in numerous scholarly journals, including the American Economic Review, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Literature, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Financial Studies. Tarun has received awards for his research, including the Brattle Prize for a paper published in the Journal of Finance. He currently serves as the Executive Editor of the Review of Financial Studies and has previously held prominent editorial positions. He is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and a Senior Academic Fellow at the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economics Research (ABFER). Tarun also has extensive experience in policy practice roles, serving as the Chairman of the Inter-Regulatory Committee on Household Finance in India, a Visiting Scholar at the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India, and an Economic Adviser at the European Securities Markets Authority. He holds a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Williams College, an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge, and a PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University. Before joining Imperial, he spent a decade at the University of Oxford.
