Tatiana Filatova holds a Master's degree in Information Systems Economics (cum laude, 2003) and a PhD in Computational Social Science and Environmental Economics (cum laude, 2009). She is a Professor of Computational Economics at the Faculty of Technology, Policy, and Management at Delft University of Technology. From 2009 to 2015, she worked as a water economist at Deltares. Filatova leads the Dutch 4TU Research Program on Resilience and serves as the Academic Lead of the Climate Change Governance Theme within the TU Delft Climate Action Programme. She is a member of the Social Sciences Council at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). Her research focuses on exploring the behavioral changes at the micro level that lead to regime shifts in complex adaptive socio-technical-environmental systems, particularly in the context of sustainability and climate change. Her team utilizes spatial agent-based models and collects data through social surveys regarding households' pro-environmental choices. She is increasingly interested in the social institutions that co-evolve with behavioral changes. Currently, her work is centered on an ERC project that examines individual adaptation to climate-driven flood risks in coastal regions and its impacts on macroeconomic assessments of climate policy models.
