Biography

Taylor is a Lecturer in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at University College London, where he leads a research group focused on the development of atomic-scale semiconductor device fabrication. He studied Physics and Materials Science in Canada, conducting research on thin films, surfaces, and interfaces with a special focus on scanning probe microscopies. His academic interests include electronic materials, group-IV semiconductors, small molecule organic semiconductors, metals, metal oxides, and high-temperature superconductors, particularly in applications related to CMOS nanoscale electronics, organic optoelectronics, chemical sensing, and quantum information. Currently, Taylor’s research efforts are concentrated on the development of atomic and molecular scale scanning probe-based fabrication techniques and their applications in highly scaled quantum computers and new quantum measurement protocols.
