Dr. Tea Sindbæk Andersen

Biography

Tea Sindbæk Andersen is an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen. Her research focuses on contemporary history in Southeastern Europe, particularly on issues related to the uses of history, cultural memory, identity politics, and popular culture in the post-Yugoslav context. She participates in the research project 'Mnemonic Migration,' which explores the transnational circulation and reception of wartime memories in post-Yugoslav migrant literature. Tea is also a member of the executive committee of the Memory Studies Association and has held various academic positions including assistant professorships and postdoctoral fellowships at different institutions. She has published extensively on the representations of Yugoslavia's difficult past from 1945 to 2002, contributing to edited volumes and academic journals on memory politics, transnationalism, and the historical narratives within the region. Tea is knowledgeable in project management and pedagogical methods and has been actively involved in conferences related to memory studies and cultural history.
