Dr. Teah Bayless

Biography

Teah Bayless is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Duke University. She completed her Geriatrics Fellowship at Duke University, School of Medicine, specializing in aging and elderly care. Her residency in Family Medicine was also completed at Duke, where she gained comprehensive knowledge in community family medicine. Dr. Bayless has focused her academic and clinical efforts on improving the quality of care for older adults, especially within the context of nursing homes and home settings, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is actively involved in research and practices that aim to enhance the healthcare experience for elderly patients, ensuring their needs are effectively addressed. Teah strives to integrate compassionate care with evidence-based practices in her work with older adults and is committed to advancing the study and practices related to geriatrics and family medicine.
