Dr. Teddy Svoronos

Biography

Teddy Svoronos is a Senior Lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School, specializing in public policy with a focus on using statistical methods to enhance policy outcomes. His main research interests include the application of technology to replicate the dynamics of small classes on a large scale, particularly in training civil servants internationally. Additionally, he is the Faculty Lead for Evidence Decisions in HKS’ online Public Leadership Credential and serves as the Faculty Liaison for Pedagogy in Digital Learning. Teddy co-founded Teachly, a web application aimed at creating effective and inclusive learning environments, and PingPong, a platform that allows for the development of custom AI bots for teaching purposes. He earned his PhD in Health Policy from Harvard University and a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University. His contributions extend to various sponsored projects supported by federal, state, and private entities, which focus on improving the use of research evidence in policy-making across different countries including India and Pakistan. Teddy engages actively with policymakers and public leaders to address and solve pressing public problems, while acknowledging the complexity and potential conflicts of interest that may arise from such engagements.
