Dr. Teren Sevea

Biography

Teren Sevea is a Faculty Associate at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs and the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Associate Professor of Islamic Studies at Harvard Divinity School. He specializes in various aspects of the modern Indian Ocean world, including labor, religious history, and the intricate interspecies relationships that exist within South and Southeast Asia. His work addresses critical issues, including climate crises, emphasizing the intersections of culture, religion, and environment in shaping social dynamics in these regions.
