Dr. Terence Burrows

Biography

Terence Burrows is an Assistant Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia Program at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. With 19 years of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and educator, Burrows has significantly contributed to anesthesia care education, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in nursing anesthesia practice. He is actively involved in professional organizations and has served on the Board of Directors for the California Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Throughout his civilian and military career, Burrows has gained extensive experience in the education of anesthesia care, particularly for trauma patients, with roles at the Army Trauma Training Center and the Ryder Trauma Center in Miami. He has worked in various intensive care units across the UK and the U.S., including experiences in critical care transport as an RN. Upon graduation, he practiced at institutions such as Kaiser Permanente and UC San Francisco. He has also served as the Program Director at Midwestern University and as Assistant Program Director at National University. Burrows holds a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice with a concentration in Education Program Administration from Texas Wesleyan University, a Master of Science in Nursing from California State University, Fullerton, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Excelsior College, and a diploma in Nursing from the University of Northumbria in the UK. He has presented at the annual conference of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) and has publications in the Journal of Nursing Research Practice.
