Biography

Teresa Brunsdon gained her degree in Mathematics Sciences from Loughborough University and went on to study for an MSc in Applied Statistics at Southampton University. She completed her PhD in Time Series Analysis of Compositional Data at Southampton and held a post-doctoral research fellow position using Dynamic Factor Analysis, followed by a one-year Teaching fellowship. Teresa joined Sheffield Hallam University in September 1988, where she worked for 31 years teaching statistics, data mining, and data science before coming to the University of Warwick in September 2019. At Warwick, she currently delivers courses including Introduction to Statistical Practice and Designed Experiments with Advanced Topics. Her research interests span various areas including Dynamic Factor Analysis and Time Series Analysis, where she has contributed significantly to the body of knowledge through her publications. She has collaborated with colleagues on classifiers for documents and has explored ethical concerns in research methodology. Teresa's commitment to teaching and research illustrates her dedication to the field of statistics and data analysis.
