Dr. Teresa Chahine

Biography

Teresa Chahine is a Senior Lecturer at the Yale School of Management, where she teaches programs focused on Social Entrepreneurship. Her passion lies in increasing access to knowledge and opportunities for anyone aspiring to create social change. At the School of Management, she developed the podcast 'Impact & Innovation', which shares conversations taking place beyond the classroom walls at Yale. Collaborating with Yale Online, she launched a free online course titled 'Creating Change in Social Entrepreneurship', based on her course at SOM, which is available for anyone around the world with internet access. The online course includes a series of short videos that distill the content of her book, 'Social Entrepreneurship: Building Impact Step by Step', which outlines a ten-stage framework for addressing social and environmental challenges. Prior to joining the faculty at Yale, Teresa formed a venture philanthropy organization in Lebanon that provides tailored financing and critical management support to social enterprises serving marginalized populations in education and job creation for youth and women. Her recent projects include collaborations with local social enterprises aimed at empowering refugee and migrant women.
