Biography

Teresa Fortuna is an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie Medical School and serves as Chief of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at IWK Health Centre. She began her work with IWK in 2014, focusing primarily on women's pediatric imaging and resident education. Dr. Fortuna completed her MD at Dalhousie University in 2005 and has a strong educational background, which includes a BScOT from Dalhousie University in 2001 and a BSc with Honours in Chemistry & Biology in 1998. Her advanced training includes a Fellowship in Women’s Imaging from the University of Toronto and a Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging from Dalhousie University. She is actively involved in the medical community through the IWK, contributing to educational efforts and improving imaging practices for women and children.
