Teresa Hubbard holds the William Bettye Nowlin Endowed Professorship in Photography at the University of Texas at Austin. Hubbard grew up in Australia, attended Louisiana State University for creative writing, and earned a BFA in studio art from UT Austin. She later obtained an MFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Hubbard has received several awards, including an Honorary Doctorate from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and various teaching excellence awards from the University of Texas at Austin.
