Biography

Teresa Joseph is an Assistant Professor in the Section of Nephrology at Yale School of Medicine. She received her medical education from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency training in internal medicine at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore within LifeBridge Health. With years of experience as a general internal medicine hospitalist, she later completed her nephrology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Joseph's clinical practice focuses on general nephrology, addressing both acute and chronic kidney disease, as well as glomerular genetic diseases and electrolyte disorders. She has a specialized interest in the Onco-Nephrology program at Yale, which encompasses managing acute kidney-related complications in patients undergoing cancer therapies. Dr. Joseph sees patients at both outpatient Yale Nephrology clinics and local outpatient dialysis centers, while also providing inpatient coverage for acute nephrology consultative services at the Yale New Haven Health St. Raphael campus. Furthermore, she is deeply committed to teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
