Dr. Teresa Mc Kenna

Biography

Teresa Mc Kenna is an Associate Professor Emerita at the University of Southern California Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1980. Mc Kenna's research and practice areas focus on Chicano/a and Latino/a literature, 20th-century American literature and culture, ethnic American literature, and the intersections of gender and race. With a deep commitment to exploring and critiquing literary works, she has dedicated her academic career to understanding the diverse narratives that shape American literary practices. Her scholarship examines the complexities of identity and representation in literature, aiming to contribute to the broader discourse on multiculturalism and inclusion in literary studies.
