Biography

Terkild Brink Buus is an Assistant Professor at the Skin Immunology Research Center, affiliated with the University of Copenhagen. He completed his Ph.D. in Immunology in 2016, focusing on the requirements for γδ T cell maturation and lineage commitment in the thymus. His current research interests lie in the fields of T cell biology, particularly the interplay of cell populations in the context of inflammatory skin diseases and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). He has received several grants and awards, including the LEO Foundation Dr Abildgaard fellowship in 2023 for his work in establishing a research group within this domain. Buus has been active in international collaborations and has presented his findings at notable workshops and conferences such as the World Immune Regulation Meeting. Additionally, he is interested in advancing single-cell analysis methods to better characterize rare cell populations.
