Biography

Terrance Green is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin. With over a decade of experience in the field, Dr. Green's research and teaching focus on promoting racial justice and equity within educational systems. His work addresses critical issues such as school closures and the impact of gentrification on schooling, through conducting comprehensive school community-based equity audits. His research has been widely published in top-tier academic journals including the American Educational Research Journal and Educational Administration Quarterly, among others. Dr. Green has received several prestigious awards and grant funding to support his work, including recognition as a William T. Grant Scholar and being awarded the Early Career Award from the American Educational Research Association's Division on Administration, Organization, and Leadership. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a B.S. in Biology Education from Kentucky State University, a Historically Black College. Before earning his doctorate, he worked as a high school science teacher.
