Dr. Terrence Chapman

Biography

Terrence Chapman is a distinguished scholar at the University of Texas at Austin, where he focuses on international collaboration and international organizations. He holds a Ph.D. from Emory University, which he obtained in 2007. His research interests include international organizations, international conflict, international law, and international political economy, along with formal modeling. Chapman has contributed to various esteemed journals like International Organization, Journal of Politics, and British Journal of Political Science. Notably, he authored the book 'Securing Approval: Domestic Politics Multilateral Authorization of War,' published by the University of Chicago Press in 2011, which won the American Political Science Association Conflict Processes Section Book Award for 2011-2012. He serves as an associate senior editor for International Studies Quarterly and has held positions including visiting associate research scholar at the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance at Princeton University. In his teaching role, he covers topics on international relations and international law in various courses, including 'Science Fiction Politics' and 'International Organization Law.'
