Dr. Terrence Guay

Biography

Terrence Guay is a Clinical Professor of International Business and the Associate Dean and Director of the Center for Global Business Studies at the Smeal College of Business, Pennsylvania State University. Since joining Smeal in 2004, he has previously served on the faculty at the School of International Service at American University and the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. He held the role of Graduate Director for the International Relations Program at Maxwell School for six years and has been involved with various institutions, including serving as a Regional Visiting Fellow at Cornell University's Institute for European Studies. Guay's teaching includes courses examining international business in a global context, focusing on aspects like international business operations, contemporary issues, and the business environment in Europe. His research interests involve the impact of government policies, the role of international organizations, and the interplay between non-state actors and business behavior within the international business environment. Guay has published multiple books and articles examining subjects such as the global defense industry, economic sanctions, and corporate social responsibility.
